紅磡有一個區域，自帶一種生人勿近不敢打擾的感覺，連街坊都覺得沒甚麼不好走進來怕不吉利。40年代港英政府籌建和合石墳場應付葬地不足的問題，當年交通不方便和合石又離市區很遠，為了方便市民和先人告別，政府就在現在理工大學的位置興建了永別亭殯儀廳，慢慢令長生店花店開始聚集。以機利士南路同蕪湖街為界，中間的寶其利街、曲街、必嘉街至到世界殯儀館後面的安靜道，因為高度集中殯儀行業在這個長方形內，所以形成一個獨有的殯儀社區和生態。

There is an area in Hung Hom that has a sense of "keep away from strangers and don't dare to disturb them". Even the neighbors think there is nothing wrong with entering for fear of bad luck. In the 1940s, the British Hong Kong government planned to build Wo Hop Shek Cemetery to cope with the problem of insufficient burial land. At that time, transportation was inconvenient and Wo Hop Shek was far away from the city. In order to facilitate citizens to bid farewell to their ancestors, the government built the Yongbieting Funeral Hall at the current location of the Polytechnic University, which gradually attracted the gathering of Changshengdian and flower shops. With Gillies Road South and Wuhu Street as the boundary, the middle Bulkeley Street, Qu Street, and Baker Street to Anjing Road behind the World Funeral Home, because the funeral industry is highly concentrated in this rectangle, it has formed a unique funeral community and ecology.
