Lingering Memory

In the early 20th century, the Dishui Nanyin performed by Gu Shi (blind artist) was very popular in Hong Kong. Most of the restaurant owners at that time invited Gu Shi to sing at the venue as a solicitation. And those who are looking for fun in brothels also call on the gurus to sing songs to add to the atmosphere. As things changed, Dishui Nanyin was gradually eliminated by the times. Born in the late Qing Dynasty and died in the 1970s, Du Huan, the last sham teacher in Hong Kong, happened to be in the toilet and witnessed the rise and fall of Dishui Nanyin.
